  The Bag in Box Explained

The bag in box is a vacuum-sealed plastic bag filled with wine or juice with a tap placed in a box (usually capable of holding 3 or 5 liters).

Both the patented tap system (Flexatap, Vitop, etc.) and the carton provide the contents of the bag with optimal protection against light and oxidation. This ensures that the beverage’s natural aromas are preserved for a long time.

The vacuum is maintained long after tapping. This allows wine to remain fresh for at least six months after opening the package. Moreover, the desired amount can be dosed precisely at any time.
